Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Estate Sale Service Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with all aspects of the estate sale process, including unpacking, organizing, categorizing, staging, lifting, and moving items, as well as light cleaning and providing excellent customer service. The role requires a positive attitude, physical stamina, attention to detail, and knowledge of fair market values to ensure a seamless and successful estate sale experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Unpacking and Organizing: Assist in unpacking and sorting through personal belongings to prepare for sale. Organize items in an orderly manner to ensure efficient sale presentation.
Categorizing and Staging: Categorize items into appropriate groups (e.g., furniture, antiques, collectibles, clothing) and stage them in an aesthetically pleasing and accessible manner for buyers.
Moving and Lifting: Safely move and transport items, including lifting heavy objects, ensuring no damage to property or inventory.
Light Cleaning: Perform light cleaning of items (such as dusting, polishing, or wiping down surfaces) to enhance their presentation for sale.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to estate sale attendees, answering questions, assisting with purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Price Evaluation: Assist in evaluating and pricing items based on fair market value, researching item values when necessary, and collaborating with the team to ensure accurate pricing.
Logistics and Setup: Set up the estate sale space, ensuring items are displayed in a way that maximizes visibility and appeal while maintaining safety protocols.
Other Tasks: Provide support in any other tasks as needed to help the estate sale run smoothly, including packing, assisting clients, and managing inventory.

Qualifications:

Attention to Detail: High level of organization and focus on detail to ensure items are properly categorized, staged, and priced accurately.
Positive Attitude: A friendly, approachable demeanor that fosters a welcoming atmosphere for clients, customers, and coworkers.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to interact positively with customers, answer questions, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and transport heavy items, and perform tasks that require physical effort, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Market Knowledge: Basic understanding of fair market value and pricing strategies for antiques, collectibles, and household items.
Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
Experience: Previous experience in estate sales, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including homes, garages, and storage areas.
